WHAT THE HORRY COUNTY LITERACY COUNCIL IS ALL ABOUT!

 The Horry County Literacy Council was started in 1976 with a mission to promote literacy throughout Horry County and provide services necessary to carry out this function. (http://www.literacyhc.org/). They recruit volunteer tutors, and they provide materials for their clients, they raise funds to maintain their programs and the expenses that come with them. The tutoring for students is free and confidential.
