Mother, two sons killed in West Ashley fire (update: names released)

A house fire broke out around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, claiming the lives of a West Ashley mother and her twin sons.

The fire that damaged the kitchen area and engulfed the house in thick smoke took place at 1918 Green Park Avenue. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Post and Courier has a post on last night's tragedy with a map, and NBC News 2 has more updated reporting along with a video and reports a cooking fire is to blame, while ABC News 4 has some more video reporting.

The names of the victims have still not been released, we'll keep you updated.

Update August 25, evening: The names have been release, the mother is Mary P. Brown and the kids are Isiah and Isiac.
