Charleston may be planning to host a new 'entertainment' marathon
Image by Competitor GroupImage by 20090723-rock.jpg The group has other marathons in Arizona, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Nashville, New Orleans, San Antonio, San Diego, San Jose ,Seattle, and Virginia Beach.
The Post and Courier's David Quick is speculating about the possibility that a new "entertainment" marathon could come to Charleston -- the city's already had two meetings with the group in as many months.
Why? In a downturned economy no one wants to turn 10s of thousands of runners away from spending their cash.
