Tonight at 5 p.m. the Charleston Beer Exchange will tap the legendary Westbrook Brett & No Mices for growler fills.
This a special Westbrook brew inspired by CBX manager Brandon's unique pronunciation of a certain wild yeast called Brettanomyces. Following that lead, they took a 6.5% ABV Belgian-style pale ale and aged it in red wine barrels for 10 months with a healthy dose of "Brett" to funk it up. According to CBX:
The CBX newsletter calls Brett & No Mices "...sour and insanely complex, boasting notes of pineapple, cherries, bread crust, oak and more!" With a 93 on ratebeer.com, it's bound to be a winner.
