Food trucks return to Crisis Ministries for festival & summer supply drive today

Crisis Ministries is rounding up five Charleston food trucks on Friday, April 20th, for a Food Truck Rodeo and summer supplies drive. The rodeo will take place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind Crisis Ministries (573 Meeting Street) on Walnut Street.

Geechee Island, Roti Rolls, Hello My Name is BBQ, Diggity Doughnuts and Magic Cheese Truck will serve lunch to hungry attendees who are encouraged to bring along summer supplies like deodorant, sunscreen and bug spray. Over 1,500 pounds of canned food were collected at the last rodeo in November, and organizers hope to collect even more donations at this second rodeo.

There will be plenty of parking available on ā€œEā€ Street and volunteers will be on hand to direct visitors. Crisis Ministries is also located on the DASH route, so downtown diners can hop on the trolley for lunch.
