Update 10/16/2012: Just a heads up that this coming Saturday, October 27th, will be the last Deville Street Farmer's Market for the year

Update 2/13/2012: In cooperation with the Clemson Co-op Extension, The Market Common will make the Deville Street Farmer's Market a regular weekly event.

The Sun News has more details.

Update 10/8/2011: The Market Common "Farmers Markets & Wagon Rides" will take place every Saturday this October.

On their Facebook page is some links to photos of today's event. Every Saturday this month at The Market Common will feature this schedule:

9 -12 pm: Farmer’s Market by Thompson Farms on Howard Avenue
9 -10 am: Fall decorating demonstration & make a custom centerpiece at Pottery Barn
10am -12 pm: Pumpkin Decorating at Anthropologie with the Children’s Museum of SC
11 am - 2 pm: Complimentary Wagon Rides beginning in front of Tommy Bahama

My guess if there's enough local support for these events, they could become more of a regular occurence beyond October. Stay on top of The Market Common events through their Facebook page.

First Report: Beyond more sidewalk displays and signs, you can expect to see a weekly farmers market at Market Common beginning in October.

According to this WBTW story, a public hearing was held to discuss zoning changes at the Market Common that would allow for stores to hold sidewalk activities with the hopes of luring more foot traffic to that area.  The farmers market, which falls under this new permit, will have produce supplied by a Conway farm.
