The City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs and the Town of Kiawah Island Arts Council are working together to present a Piccolo Preview Concert on Sunday, May 2nd at 4 p.m.
The concert will serve up a sampling of highlights and themes from this year’s Piccolo Spoleto Spotlight Concert Series.

The varied program includes: Flutist Regina Helcher Yost with Ghadi Shayban, piano, performing Duo for Flute and Piano by Aaron Copland; world-class string quartet comprised of four of Charleston’s finest professional classical musicians —Yuriy Bekker and Alan Molina, violin, Jan-Marie Joyce, viola and Damian Kremmer, cello—performing Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings. The concert concludes with a high energy presentation of jazz classics by Fud Livingston, one of SC’s favorite sons of jazz, (I’m Thru with Love), Miles Davis and the all-time Dixieland classic, When the Saints Go Marching In.
The performance, which will take place at at at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (3871 Betsy Kerrison Parkway), is admission-free and open to the public.
