Long Bay Symphony performs "Epic Musical Portraits" on March 18

The Long Bay Symphony presents Epic Musical Portraits, the final Symphony Series concert of the 24th Season on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Myrtle Beach High School Music and Arts Center, 3302 Robert Grissom Parkway, Myrtle Beach, SC.

A concert offering up some of the most effective and popular musical portraits in the symphonic literature, including Prokofiev's epic portrayal of the great Russian hero, Andrew Nevsky. This piece is touted as one of the greatest battle metaphors in music that will ignite the imagination! Experience an incredible musical depiction of a storm scene in the Peter Grimes: Four Sea Interludes and everyone will recognize the Overture from The Barber of Seville.

There will be a pre-concert lecture at 3:15 in the cafeteria. The box office will be open at 2:30 and tickets will be available at the door. 

There will be a limited number of tickets for sale at the Welcome Center at Broadway at the Beach on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m. for $20 each.
