With the global economic cool down, the need for and planning of the Jasper port facility has expectedly slowed down. 

But state senator for Beaufort County Tom Davis says we're all missing an opportunity to target niche shipping needs at the site, like shipping of refrigerated or frozen goods, or shorter distance shipping.
