Clearly, she is enjoying the flavor...

Did you know: SC is home to the world's hottest pepper?

The Carolina Reaper, a hybrid chili pepper bred by cultivator Ed Currie, who runs PuckerButt Pepper Company in Fort Mill, South Carolina and has been rated as the world's hottest chili pepper by Guinness World Records according to 2012 tests.

via TheHuffingtonPost:

"Guinness World Records again dubbed Smokin' Ed's Carolina Reaper the hottest chile in the world at the NYC Hot Sauce Expo over the weekend. It measures well over 1.5 million on the Scoville Scale -- for reference, Tobasco tops out at 1,200 Scoville units -- and its heat causes numbing of the hands and a rush of endorphins.

Essentially, the Carolina Reaper is making the ghost pepper and Trinidad Moruga Scorpion look like the virgin colada of heat."

What's it feel like when eating one? Darren Rovell of ABC had the pleasure (?) of trying one:

I hiccup, I cough, I can feel the pepper ripping through my esophagus knowing exactly where it is as if it has a GPS device on it. To see how a pepper this hot, more than 100 times hotter than a jalapeno, would have any commercial value, just doesn't make sense. These peppers are said to be more than 100 times hotter than a jalapeno. But the truth is, the superhot pepper business is on fire. One market research firm, IBISWorld, recently named hot sauce production as one of America's fastest-growing industries among other hot trends like solar panel manufacturing.
