UPDATE: Myrtle Beach Flea Market closing for good at the end of the month

Even Jim Lee’s magic couldn’t keep the Myrtle Beach Flea Market from closing its doors.

Lee, 79, owner of Lee’s Creations and Jim Lee’s Magic, is one of a handful of business owners who has been at the flea market for its more than 20-year existence.

“It’s run its course,” Lee said. “I’ve lost my butt here in the last five years. I lost my life savings and everything I made here in the six or eight years it was good.”

The flea market is permanently closing at the end of the month because it lost its lease, the company said in a news release.
