Students evacuated from Myrtle Beach school following bomb threat

Students at Myrtle Beach Middle School were evacuated Tuesday after a bomb threat was made to the school, Myrtle Beach police Lt. Joey Crosby said.

Officers were called about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday to the school for the threat.

Officers were securing the school grounds and the area is restricted for anyone trying to travel there, Crosby said. Motorists in that area should find an alternative route.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
