Strand Notebook | Syrup Day at farm gives slice of Horry County history

Nov. 8 is Syrup Day at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm.

Admission is always free at the farm, which is a part of the Horry County Museum and is located at 2279 Harris Short Cut Road.

Farm Manager Wayne Skipper said the farm shows a very important part of the history and development of Horry County.

“We know that a large majority of the population lived as the farm demonstrates life between 1900 and 1955 here in Horry County,” he said.
