Horry County police are seeking Rodrez Daquell Stanley as a person of interest in the shooting death of a Longs teenager over the weekend.

Stanley, 21, also of Longs, is wanted for questioning in the case that left Taizaun Dewitt, 14, dead Friday. On Monday, faculty and administrators at St. James Middle School were processing the news of Taizaun’s death, and offering help for anyone who needed it.

“He was a really likeable kid,” said Jeff Nuzum, assistant principal for 8th grade at St. James. “Always had a smile on his face.”
