Police searching for two suspects, stolen vehicle in home invasion

Police are investigating a home invasion that happened Tuesday night at a home on Highway 905 in Longs.

A mother and son were home alone around 10 p.m. when two unknown men broke through the front door and demanded money, jewelry and electronics. The two suspects made off with home and office electronics and a vehicle, all with a total value of $30,000, according to police.

The men are described as black, wearing dark clothing, hoodies and masks. One suspect appeared to be holding a handgun, and the second suspect was holding a hammer, according to police.
