Police looking for suspects after shots fired during armed robbery

Myrtle Beach police are searching for suspects after three victims said they were sleeping in a car when they awoke to a group of men outside surrounding them, one pointing a gun and demanding money, authorities said.

Officers were called about 2:45 a.m. Sunday to the roadway of 16th Avenue North and Withers Drive where two 21-year-old men and a 22-year-old man reported the incident, police said.

One of the 21-year-old victims told police that the group was asleep in the car when he woke up to find an unknown man and about five others surrounding the car.
