Go Ape Zip Line and Treetop Adventures Coming to North Myrtle Beach

On the June 27th North Myrtle Beach City Council meeting, town leaders will discuss the lease agreement that would allow Go Ape Treetop Adventure course experience to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex.

via NMB Press Release

The Go Ape Treetop Adventure course would allow participants to explore some of the 162 acre park’s forest canopy and its 25 acre freshwater lake from an otherwise unobtainable vantage point 50 feet up in the trees. Unique to the course would be four zip lines crossing the lake, all between 500 and 1,000 feet long.

Go Ape is a highly interactive treetop adventure where participants are equipped with harnesses, pulleys and carabineers. Participants receive a training session before they are turned loose into the forest canopy. The courses, which can be completed in two to three hours, feature a series of zip lines, Tarzan swings, rope ladders, bridges, swings, and trapezes. Catering to all skill levels, participants are encouraged to push themselves and turn “I can’t” into “I can.”

If the a lease agreement is approved, construction of the Treetop Adventure course would begin at the end of June for a planned August 2014 opening.
