North Myrtle Beach outfall construction to begin in September

North Myrtle Beach’s Main Street Horseshoe will be closed for approximately seven months beginning Sept. 23 for construction of a $9.5 million ocean outfall.

North Myrtle Beach began installing ocean outfalls to carry storm water runoff beyond its beach swim zones since 2002, with the previous installations costing a combined $15 million, according to information from the city.
