After the Windsor Green fire, Horry County Fire Rescue assessed the need for an alert system that would quickly spread the word about an emergency needing community response. They moved forward with the NIXLE response system. To receive text/email alerts based on your zip code, sign up a http://www.horrycountyfirerescue.com to fill out the "Text Alert Registration" form on the left side. You can also sign up by texting "HCFIRE" to 888777.
