Man wanted in connection with homicide in Laurens County found and arrested in Georgetown County

A man wanted in connection with homicide in Laurens County was arrested Friday by Georgetown authorities, Carrie Cuthbertson, spokeswoman with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, said.

Arthur Jason Bowers, 29, of Lomax Court in Murrells Inlet, who had an active homicide arrest warrant, was taken into custody without incident.

Authorities at the sheriff’s office said that about 5:45 p.m. Friday they were contacted by Laurens Police Department officers regarding a wanted suspect they believed was residing in Georgetown County, Cuthbertson said.
