Horry County police said several types of drugs, including crack and marijuana, were allegedly found on a man who authorities said crashed his car into a ditch then ran in an attempt to escape police, according to an incident report.

Michael Anthony Williams, 42, of Conway was charged with possession with intent to distribute third offense, two counts of distribution of cocaine third offense, open container in a motor vehicle, and failure to stop for blue lights, according to Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman with Horry County police.

While on patrol about 2:17 a.m. Sunday in the area of U.S. 701 South, an officer said he noticed a white Cadillac Sedan swerve into the southbound lane while traveling northbound.
