Longs man wanted since October on murder charge surrendered to Horry County police

A Longs man, who was considered armed and dangerous, wanted since October in connection with a deadly shooting has been arrested and charged with murder, according to authorities.

Lakenneth Lonta Clarida, 31, was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 12:47 a.m. Friday on a charge of murder, according to jail records.

Horry County police Lt. Raul Denis said Friday that Clarida surrendered to police Thursday to face the charge.
