Managers with Tanger Outlet Centers recently announced five schools in Horry County will receive grant money as part of the shopping center’s TangerKIDS Grant program, which is designed to support the future of children by giving to local schools where outlets are located.

Workers at Tanger outlet stores, on U.S. 501 and U.S. 17, said this year’s recipients include: Ocean Drive Elementary School, S.C. Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics, Palmetto Bays Elementary School, Forestbrook Middle School, and Lakewood Elementary School.

Grants awarded this month will benefit the schools during the 2015-2016 year, and funds donated will be used to assist the selected schools with special projects, needed programs, and equipment, according to a press release from outlet store managers.
