With both makeup days already in use, the Horry County School Board wants South Carolina's General Assembly to "forgive" two missed days from the end of January, even as another ice storm threatens the area.

"They've always said yes," said Horry County School Board Chairman Joe DeFeo, "and our legislative delegation says they expect it will pass."
