Gas prices in Myrtle Beach more than $1 lower than last year, nearly 30 cents lower than last month

The good news at the gas pump just keeps coming.

Average retail gas prices in the Myrtle Beach area fell 4.9 cents over the past week, according to a survey done by GasBuddy of 197 gas outlets in the area. The average price for a gallon of gas in Myrtle Beach was $1.96 as of Monday.

Gas prices in Myrtle Beach are 110.6 cents per gallon lower than the same day a year ago and 29.1 cents lower than one month ago, according to GasBuddy. Nationally, prices are 124.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago and 39.4 cents lower than a month ago.
