When John Traub sought to sell hot dogs from a pushcart in Myrtle Beach, he had significantly more regulations to comply with than when he was in business in Florence. 

Traub had much success selling Sabrett all-beef hot dogs and sausage dogs for two years in Florence, where getting in business there required a city business license and an all-clear from the S.C. Dept. of Health and Environmental Control.

When he decided to move to Myrtle Beach and set up his business called Hey Now Hot Dogs, he had to have a business license, pass DHEC inspection, 15 parking spots, handicap parking spots, a handicap parking sign and had to pay a $750 zoning fee.
