Fatal collision on Highway 544 kills 20-year-old woman
A crash on Highway 544 near Myrtle Ridge Road has left a 20-year-old woman dead, officials said.
Katelynn Carbino, 20, collided with a commercial truck on Highway 544 about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. The crash closed down beachbound lanes on the highway, according to Lance Cpl. Judd Jones with S.C. Highway Patrol.
A 51-year-old man was driving the truck westbound on Highway 544 when he collided with Carbino, according to Darris Fowler, with the Horry County Coroners Office.
