Faith leaders, community members gather to pray for Myrtle Beach area

Grand Strand residents of all ages, races and religions spent the first day of 2015 praying for positive changes in Myrtle Beach.

More than 50 community members and religious leaders gathered Thursday afternoon to pray for the protection and future of Myrtle Beach. The “Circle of Faith” walk promotes camaraderie among government, religious and community leaders.

“We need to get back to speaking the universal language that God gave us, and that language is love,” said Rev. George Swift with Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach.

“People don’t love each other any more, and that’s what we need to get back to.”
