Harold Worley was leading late Tuesday in his bid for re-election as the District 1 representative on the Horry County Council, based on unofficial results.

Worley, Republican, ran against Roberta Kuntz, a Democrat, and snagged 73.2 percent of the vote, compared to 26.6 percent for Kuntz, with 100 percent of all precincts reporting.

“We’ve had a good day, and I feel real good about the results,” Worley said.
