Myrtle Beach Area Participating in World’s Largest Swimming Lesson

The 2014 World’s Largest Swimming Lesson will take place on June 20, 2014 in the hopes of setting a fifth Guinness World Record, and the Myrtle Beach area is getting in on the fun.

Myrtle Waves Water Park, located at 3000 10th Ave. Extension North in Myrtle Beach, will serve as an official host location facility for the WLSL. Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by the 30-minute lesson at 11 a.m. 

The first 50 participants will receive free admission to the park. The cost is $15.99 for all others, which also includes park admission. 

The WLSL uses this event to help build water awareness about the vital importance of teaching children to swim.
