Popular vote determines the selection of the Grand Strand Artist of the Month each month for both categories: visual artist and performing artist. Voting for the August 2013 Grand Strand Artist of the Month began Friday, August 9, 2013 and ended at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013. Persons were requested to cast one vote for each category, one time per day during the voting period.
