Highway workers hope higher speeding fines in work zones will become law in South Carolina
A new bill at the statehouse looks to double the fines for speeding in a work or construction zone. That bill in the senate would install a fine of $620 up from the current $310. However, a subcommittee may raise them even more to $1,000 for a first offense and no one gets hurt.
