Tune in to Freshfields Village's Second Set of Music on the Green

Get ready to jump and jive to the sweet sounds of summer at Freshfields Village during the second round of the Music on the Green Concert Series. This free, outdoor event will begin on May 31, and will take place every Friday from 6 – 9 p.m. through August 30, 2013, and will feature a number of bands from throughout the Southeast.

Scheduled performances for the month of July include:

Hot Sauce – Friday, July 5 – This killer band of musicians not only knows how to bring the party, and brings an even better show to every gig they play! Their high-energy stage presence and crowd interaction assures a great time for everyone while playing a wide selection of dance, rock, funk and Top 40 tunes.

Plane Jane – Friday, July 12— One of the Carolinas' best party bands, they play exciting hits from the 60s to the present. With six vocalists, each with a distinctive style, the band is built to keep the crowd on its feet, dancing to electrified funky tunes that are punctuated with swingin' horn-section solos, shag and disco songs. 

CoastRunner Band – Friday, July 19 –Its member’s motivation and objective was to perform familiar music that gets the crowd up and dancing from the first song to the last song of the evening. Every song is performed live and you can count on The CoastRunner Band to provide the perfect mix of Beach, Funk, R&B and Soul, with a little Boogie and some Classic Rock thrown in for just plain fun. 

Coconut Groove Band – Friday, July 26 – The group provides a wide range of musical styles ranging from Easy Listening, Soul, R&B, Island Theme, Rock'n'Roll , Funk, The Blues - you name it. With five outstanding musicians and singers, they can deliver "feel good music" that is loved by all ages. 

The event is sponsored by The Town of Kiawah. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring a beach chair or blanket.
