The Interstate 26 overpass at Dorchester Road which carries an average of 86,100 vehicles per day, has been rated "structurally deficient" by AAA Carolinas and takes the No. 4 spot on a list of the state's Top 20 Substandard Bridges.

Despite this rating and the visible cracks in the overpass's structure, officials are saying there is no reason for worry.

I know it is their job to assess such things, but when I hear "structurally deficient" I tend to get a little nervous.

The Post and Courier has the story.
