The sports news of the night came as the College of Charleston men's basketball team beat the 9th-ranked UNC Tar Heels at Charleston.

The final score was 82-79.

Pretty surprising stuff.

ESPN has a nice overview and video from the game and aftermath.

Andrew Goudelock's three-point basket pushed Charleston into overtime. Shortly after the win "Charleston" was a trending topic on Twitter.

Also worth pointing out is the ESPN has replugged their profile of Charleston coach Bobby Cremins, who left Georgia Tech in 2000 to retire but came back for the love of the game; read that over here.
