Boathouse's new James Island location goes up in flames

Update March 6, final update: The owners have stated they plan to rebuild. Go get the latest.

First reporting: After their downtown location closed, hopes were high that seafood restaurant The Boathouse would do well at their new James Island location.

But after having been open for just a few weeks, the former home of Mimi's Creekside has been -- at best -- severely damaged in flames.

Update March 5, 11:30 a.m.: NBC News 2 has some additional imagery from the fire and its after affect. If you can get the video to play, it's the best thing on the page.

Interestingly, while the inside looks almost entirely gutted by the fire, the menus next to the door seem 100% fine.

Update March 5: The Charleston Regional Business Journal has a write-up with a few more details. They also stat that arson is not suspected.
