Three local Chrysler dealerships get axed

After closing four plants, bankrupt automaker Chrysler has announced it will close a quarter of it's 3,200 dealerships -- 11 are in South Carolina, and three are in Charleston.

Blue locations are staying open, red are closing.

Those are: Hoover Chrysler Dodge and Jeep (that counts as two), and Strom Altman Dodge (in North Charleston).

In all the Charleston-area has four Chrysler dealership locations, the closures will affect two of them.

GM also plans to close about a third of its 6,000 dealerships.

Still the Charleston area has already experienced a number of dealerships closures.
