Everyone loves to photograph the Folly Boat

If you've ever driven out to Folly Beach, you've likely noticed the Folly Boat -- a sad little white boat sitting off the right side of the road just on the edge of the marsh. Well, surprise, surprise, everyone likes to take a photo of it and its different slogans (oh yes, they do change). And now there's a Web site devoted just to the boat with hundreds of photos, and it's called: FollyBoat.com.

The boat washed up in the spot when Hugo hit in 1989 and no one ever claimed it. Thus, in typical beach fashion, everyone started painting it year after year until a new tradition was born. Read more about the boat on FollyBeach.com.
