Tickets on Sale for Sixth Annual Charleston Beer Garden Benefiting Lowcountry AIDS Services

Beer lovers will gather at The Grove at Patriots Point to celebrate the suds during the fifth annual Charleston Beer Garden. Tickets go on sale today, Feb. 1 for the May 20 festival.

Set for noon to 7 p.m., the Charleston Beer Garden is a fundraiser for Lowcountry AIDS Services. Proceeds from the event will support LAS in its work helping people living with HIV/AIDS in the greater Charleston area as well as its community outreach, education and prevention programs.

Craft beer lovers can spend the day enjoying a wide variety of beer along with live music from the Greystar Stage, food trucks and vendors. More than 20 breweries will showcase more than 40 different beers, giving beer lovers the chance to explore old favorites and new brews. Attendance is estimated to exceed 3,500 for this one day beer, food, and music festival.

Individuals who love cooking up their own brews are invited to apply for the Homebrewers’ Village. Also on tap for this year’s festival is the much-loved Yelp! Beer Games, which test entrants’ feats of knowledge, brawn and skill.
