Update November 1:

If you hadn't heard, the day went poorly for USC.

First reporting:

The 21st ranked University of South Carolina Gamecocks are set to take on the Tennessee Volunteers in Knokville on Saturday, October 31.

The first-year coach of the Tennessee Vols, Lane Kiffin, has been doing his fair share of trash talking since entering the SEC -- much of it targeting USC player Alshon Jeffery.

After hearing that freshman recruit Jeffery would be attending the University of South Carolina instead of University of Tennessee, Kiffin reportedly said that he (Jeffery) would "wind up pumping gas" like other former USC players.

Although Jeffery has not commented on Kiffin's statements, USC senior wideout Moe Brown has stated that he took the comment personally and that the Gamecocks now have even more to prove on the field Saturday.

The State has a nice preview of the game; read it over here.

Game time is set for 7:45 p.m. on ESPN.
