First Report: Coach Bennett may be taking a position in local prep football. We have been contacted from numerous sources that the hiring is a possibility, but it is all speculation and rumors until they can be verified and substantiated.

GrandStrandSportsReport.com is reporting that Bennett is set to become the next Athletics Director at Socastee High, replacing outgoing Roger Dixon after his last day on July 31, 2012.

Bennett became a candidate for the job following his unceremonious firing and somewhat contentious contract buyout negotiations, which saw him earn the full $950,000 settlement.

However, they maybe a few snags in the road. Check out WMBF's coverage to find out more.
