Sabine Lisicki, the 2009 Family Circle Cup Champion, has officially entered the 2010 tournament.

Her Charleston title made an impact on the Cup's record book as she became the lowest-ranked player (World No. 63) and the lowest-seeded player (No. 16) to win the title.

Additional highlights from her breakthrough season include reaching the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, the final at Luxembourg, and posting a 3-1 Fed Cup record for Germany.
