Local rider, Wade Davis, makes his way through the wooded portion of the Horry County Bike & Run Park.

The Horry County Bike and Run Park (affectionately called "The Hulk") will host an event for the Coastal Carolina Off-Road Series in 2013.

This will be the 14th year for the series which hosts hundreds of riders from all over the Southeast. Proceeds from the volunteer driven event are used to develop and maintain trails for the participating areas. The 2013 schedule includes six locations in North and South Carolina. Myrtle Beach will be fourth stop in the series and will take place on Sunday, April 7th.

This won't be the first organized event for the newly built trail. Just last weekend, riders participated in the Stache and Dash race. A casual timed event that raised over $1000 for prostate cancer awareness. You can see photos of the event here on Flickr and some other photos on Facebook here.
