Geographic neighbors, the Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island are now members of the nation's 34 most expensive small towns, according to BusinessWeek.

Sullivan's Island clocked in at number 9 with a media home value of $1,302,806, while Isle of Palms hit number 30 with a price of $782,822.

A town's population had to be fewer than 10,000 people to make the list.
