The "Give Me Shelter" Campaign for Children is an annual fundraiser with proceeds benefiting Callen-Lacey Center for Children, the only emergency shelter in Berkeley County serving abused, neglected and abandoned children . According to a recent report from SCKidsCount.org, there are 810 cases of reported physical, sexual and emotional abuse documented in Berkeley County, and 707 children in Berkeley County involved in substantiated cases of abuse and neglect each year. Community support of Callen-Lacey allows us to provide critical services to these victims.
