Update August 4: Come celebrate Rocky Horror's Desctructo EP release with an Electric BBQ featuring a possible tasting of Big Ed's Heirloom BBQ Sauce from the new Charleston-based "Pigtail Brands Barbecue Sauces & Marinades".

There will be performances by the Mystical Half Dozen's "CPO Gents", comprised of JeffET and DJ Birdflu and a set by the man himself, Rocky Horror.

It all goes down at 6 p.m. on Saturday night at The Remedy Market, located at 162 Spring Street.

First reporting: Charleston's Chris Morris aka Rocky Horror has been slaying audiences with his heavy beats for years, and now, he's about to get even bigger and badder with the release of his EP 'Destructo.'

The Destructo EP features a total of five songs. The first three are completely original, from the bottom up. The title track, "Destructo", is exceptionally DJ-friendly, with build-ups that will have your crowd screaming with anticipation. The second original track, "Heist", is simply brilliant. The melody alone is persistent in getting stuck in your head for weeks. Lastly, we have "Acrophobia", featuring Charleston, SC's own local hip hop sensation, Righchus. Rocky Horror and Righchus' team-up was the last thing anyone would expect, but the two of them together is a club lover's dream.

The final two tracks on the EP are both remixes of the title track. First is Rocket's remix. Hailing from Guadalajara, MX, this metal-driven electro artist has almost single handedly created his own genre he calls "death electro". Deep, dark synths surrounded by what sounds like the drummer from Slayer. Rocket's Destructo remix went up on Soundcloud before the release and has been posted on multiple blogs such as Metalectro and Facebook's own Electro News. The last remix on the EP is by local Charleston, SC, DJ JeffET. JeffET's remix is nearly in a genre of its own. Being known throughout the South for his widely successful performances, this Juke, UK Funky, House DJ has definitely been shining; this is officially his first remix to date.

Even more Charleston love is on the cover of the EP. Local photographer Jon Stout aka BadJon shot the cover, and Charlestonian around town Dalia modeled for it. The necklace worn around her neck was made by local artist Matthew Schrock.
