Loris Middle Wins Palmetto's Finest

Horry County School, Loris Middle, wins Palmetto's Finest award. It, along with three other South Carolina Schools took home a a plaque, banner and bumperstickers. 

Four South Carolina schools are named Palmetto's Finest for 2011.

The elementary school winners are Bethel Elementary in Simpsonville in Greenville County, and William M. Reeves Jr. Elementary in Summerville in Dorchester 2. The other winners are Loris Middle in Horry County and Wren High in Piedmont, in Anderson 1.

The annual awards ceremony was Tuesday night at the Koger Center in Columbia. The ten finalists were announced in January.

The Palmetto Finest Award is presented yearly and this marks its 33rd year.
