Global Paddle out for fallen surfer Andy Irons. Sunday 10am Folly Pier

Just wanted to let everyone know that this Sunday, Las Olas is trying to get fellow watermen to come show support for Andy Irons.  The professional surfer passed away from complications of dengue fever while on leave from the world tour stop in Puerto Rico.

Andy won 3 world titles in between the Kelly Slater decade and pushed modern surfing to what it is today.  He leaves behind millions of fans who were stunned by his sudden departure from this life.

On Sunday, November 14th around the globe, paddle outs have been organized to remember and pay tribute to Andy.  Charleston's is at 10am at the Folly Pier.  If you can't make it, take a second next time you're sitting on your board and have a moment in silence.
