Glass Onion Offers Taste of January's Featured Wine

The Glass Onion restaurant will celebrate their featured wine for January – Anciano "Gran Reserva 10 Year" – with a sampling on Monday, January 3. From 5 to 9 p.m. they will offer a taste of this intriguing Spanish red, to all interested diners.

This sustainable beauty comes from a family run winery and showcases the beauty of tempranillo that has been aged for 10 years. Being extremely food friendly the Anciano pairs well with many of the Glass Onion’s local, all natural offerings, such as their crispy braised pork belly with grits and greens.

This West Ashley restaurant located at 1219 Savannah Highway offers a “green” wine list that focuses on small production wineries that use environmentally friendly practices. Customers can enjoy these boutique bottles at half the cost on Mondays for dine-in and carry-out and at half the cost every day with a carry-out order.

The seasonal, local eatery places utmost importance on quality ingredients and sees the wine list as a natural extension of their culinary practices.
