DAVID GRAY

ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL US TOUR DATES INCLUDING

NORTH CHARLESTON PAC, JULY 1

New York, NY – April 5, 2011 – Hot off the heels of his sold out “Lost and Found” tour, David Gray is excited to continue the momentum by jumping on the road again with a fresh series of dates across the US this summer, including a stop at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. In addition, he will make a stop at the Dave Matthews Band Caravan Festival, in Atlantic City, NJ over the weekend of June 24th - June 26th, where he will headline the final evening of the festival, as well as a stop in N. Charleston on July 1st. The 14 city tour will wrap in Salt Lake City, UT on July 14th. Tickets for N. Charleston will go on-sale April 15th.

On these new dates, Gray will bring back his signature acoustic sound, but infuse that with a new energy cultivated during the “Lost and Found” series he brought fans this past winter. A very intimate set of acoustic evenings, the series centered around songs from his ninth studio album Foundling and also included reinterpretations of songs from his entire catalogue. Released last year, the album notched a #9 debut on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, marking the highest chart position of his career. Entertainment Weekly describes it as “all warm arrangements and real emotion,” while USA Today says “ ‘A Moment Changes Everything’  is his most infectious single since 2000's ‘Babylon.’ ”

David Gray has established himself as one of the UK’s leading music artists both at home and overseas. With a career now spanning over fifteen years, David’s commercial success is also backed up by a critical consensus and countless accolades. His 2009 release Draw The Line was met with critical praise and garnered the artist a series of high profile television appearances, as well as two sold out tours of the US. Foundling, Gray's 9th studio album picks up where Draw the Line leaves off, creating a new chapter of lush, soulful songs that find Gray returning to his folk music roots. Notching a #9 debut on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, Foundling marked Gray's highest release position of his career and was met with critical praise by Entertainment Weekly who describes it as “all warm arrangements and real emotion,” while USA Today says “ ‘A Moment Changes Everything’  is his most infectious single since 2000's ‘Babylon.’ ”
